The DOT physical nor a routine physical will not detect an ulcer. Ulcers are most commonly diagnosed by the physician getting a complete medical history from you and follow up with an endoscopic test or contrast media study by x-ray.
If you have an ulcer this is something you should monitor closely. Without proper treatment by your physician and medication compliance by you; ulcers can become life threatening, if perforated or by loss of blood via bowel movements. You need to talk with your doctor.
I hope this information helps.Ms.Jesse Thanks this. -
What kind of ulcer? When we had to go in to renew our med cards, the doc wanted u sto take our shoes and socks off.... I asked why and he said it was to check for ulcers on the bottom of the feet.

those kind of "ulcers" on the bottom of your feet are related to diabetes and gangrene ( no relation to Mean Joe Greene of the Steelers) I do believe....but if I'm wrong I'm sure one of our resident medical experts will clarify...as far as a stomach ulcer....I think to be a twuck dwiver you have to have one.
