I have been sitting here at the flying j right outside of montreal for about 5 hours waiting to deliver in the morning.

Well about 2 hours ago someone in a silver mazda suv pulls up in front of me. Im thinking they are looking for another celadon driver, but no; the passenger gets out and looks at my truck number, the driver proceeds to grab her camera and take a picture of my license plate.

When I see her grab the camera I immediately jump out from the bunk to see whats going on, but when they see me getting out of the truck and floor it out of the TS.

    WTF?

    Double post from another sub-forum

I would call the log department and see if they can make a copy of your e-logs for the past few days. They should show where/when you were.

    Hopefully you won't need them.

The first thing I did was call my DM and said she would look into. She called back a few minutes later and said nothing was reported. But, when I came in this morning there was no traffic; crossed in alexandria bay and came straight to the flying j, and I know for a fact i didnt hit anyone or run someone off the road. It just freaked me out that someone at random would do that 3 hours after I have been here.

The way that sounds makes me look like a bad driver.

Watch your back and keep all your records, had a wing nut place a broken windshield thing on me like that. They made a mistake when the time they said it happened and place was no where close the sat. records showed.

Sounds like your about to be set up for a fall. What some people won't do to ruin anothers day. Be careful, and make copies of all your documents, in case you need to CYA.

Sounds like a fake lawsuit to me! Make sure you call someone and have this documented.

Sorry to not be paranoid, but is it possible that your license plate was from out of the area and they were just taking a picture of it?

When I took a bike trip through the states two years ago I took pictures of all the different license plates I saw..

Must be a canadian thing haha - I know I'm not the only one who has done this before.

You probably just scared them when you were getting out of your bunk lol

Sorry for being so parinoid. Start covering your butt now with good documentation like you are. Always better to be safe than sorry. Good luck.

I wouldn't worry much, about people, they do strange things. :happy3: Especially at a truck stop.

Not sure how long your company keeps your log records around so it's good to have a copy if something comes up later on down the line. It might save you alot of time. And as we know time is money!
