Trucking companies vs Temp agencies

If you think about it, a trucking company is just like a temp agency. Exept that temp agencies offer lots of local work that pays REALLY good like $15-$20 hr, and lots of overtime! Ive worked for about 4 temp agencies that only cater to truckers...class a,b,c driving positions. Im still employed with all of them and whenever I find myself inbetween jobs, they put me right to work! Theyre a great place to work a local trucking job! And if that customer gets to like how you work, theyll bring you on with them perm. Some of the best trucking companies are temp agencies! I know this for a FACT.
....and a regular trucking company operates just the same, in fact almost identical. Theyll contract a load with a client, put a driver and truck on it, then pay you for it. Its a great thing in my opinion.

 

If its over 10 years ago, most trucking companies will hire. The dept of transportation on needs 10 years clean prior. But the again if it was narcotics I would just forget about it. Trucking, I mean. No company will hire if its drugs related...try the working the docks, I swear sometimes it takes up to 6 hours for the shippers to load my rig, im sure if they had more people, things could definately get rollin lot faster.
