We're making progress, I think if the Pres wanted make an impression he'd come in to work and ask my favorite dispatcher if she felt like switching her entire fleet to eLogs. When she says no, he'd fire her on the spot.

We're actually getting customer service to call customers and work with new appointment times. It's not happening all the time, but you gotta start somewhere. I've got a handful of people that are beginning to realize that unlike the old log auditing system this is instant. I'll shut your driver down for running non compliant, so your choices become reschedule or fail (for some reason they haven't picked up on relays yet).

But miles are working good when drivers trip plan and communicate, I have most guys knocking out 500 to 600 miles per day. A little less when they come out of the house and go home. Usually that first week or so is a struggle, and some people are bound and determined to fail on eLogs thinking they'll get paper back. Not so much.

    Tazz Thanks this.

I gotta go to class next month for them(seriously it's pushing a #### button how much class can there possibly be?) So they can turn mine on.

New truck QCom has them but not active yet. They wanted to start with a few of our problem children but placed an even amount of compliant drivers after the first couple weeks because the problem children were purposely messing up to prove how they could never work.

We've got about 150 guys running eLogs now, and about 10 that are trying to find ways to cheat the system. It takes a special kind of person to not be able to learn how to use eLogs.

Oh and back to the topic, way worse to falsify an elogs because there is no hiding your intent as to willfully violating the HOS.

Compliant does not equal safe. Compliance just means you operate within regulation, safety is up to the driver. Running because the regs say you have hours doesn't mean squat if you are unsafe to drive. It's up to the driver to determine wether or not they can drive, once the decision is made they need to communicate their situation.

My advice--- Log it true with a brief explanation. Chances are if it don't happen often you will never hear about it. Levi39

I have a question that maybe 1 of you with E-logs can answer for me.

If you're at a shipper/receiver and during time at the dock your 14 runs out, does it count as a violation for you to roll out to park?

Yep, once it flips you to driving it will put you in violation. Log it as it happens make a note and take a qualifying break. Or refuse to leave, get arrested, and then you'll get more than a 10 hour break.
