Tiredoldman knows what I did, and it happened on the 15Th of may. Yes I could have done a better job, but I did the best thing I could do at the time, and I was willing to let CRST deduct from my pay for the damages, but without a job its a hard thing to do. My Dm said he would try to keep me on, but safety said no way. I might have just jumped in to the left lane for vindication, but me and my co driver might not be hear to talk about it. Thanks for all the input bad and good.

Feel the wheel, obviously you didn't do all you could.
Had you done that, you would have been in the correct lane well before you "ran out of lane".
You have no excuse for your behavior.
Second, you signed a contract with CRST. They have a right under that contract to collect what is owed to them.mtnMoma Thanks this. -
I would have recommended termination as well. Totally preventable, indicates poor driving habits and decision making. I would have heard you out, but I'm guessing that wouldn't be very likely to change my mind. However if I driver seems like they want to learn from the situation and realize how they can improve I may want to keep them. Most often nobody gives a care what I think because I've never been out there, on the other hand the guy that's actually going to fire you has been out and he's not going to take the time to listen to you......pick your poison.

I did leave out just one thing, many of us that morning had all been trying to get by or pass a covenant driver that was all over the highway, weaving back and forth, he or she ? hard to tell long hair. Might have been falling a sleep hard to say. No one wanted to risk getting back behind that covenant truck after getting by, just something I left out.

ummm yeah, that would put the nail in the coffin for your case with me. Best of luck to you on your future endeavors.

You can leave out all you want. YOU screwed the pooch. It was your responsibility to be in the correct lane.

I would think that being a truckdriver before all of this, you would know better! All I hear is excuse upon excuse. I for one am glad nobody was hurt, and that you are off the road.Cowmobile Thanks this.

Sounds like there may be more to this maybe. A new oil pan had already been installed recently? Oil pans dont wear out. Damage to an oil pan would probably result in loss of engine oil.. (unless just dented) which would result in engine damage from lack of lubrication. You have to be on your toes constantly and aware of your surroundings. Best of luck to you.

He was the lead driver of the truck, and I did not go out of my way to tell him what to do.

Im well over a million miles now, and at this point if you have read some of my other post, I don't care if i ever drive a truck again, and I have driving all of them ,gas, chem, flat, box, doubles. Big Deal, Right !
Thanks for your input.
