Well this is one ###%&D UP broker load! The other driver had a 10pm appt time last night, when he got there they said it was 10AM! So by the time he got down to me it was 4pm!
So I hustle down to Lakeland and they tell me its not supposed to be there till 9/20!............
Do a little flirtin with the recvg girl and she gets somebody to take the 2 pallets...............Go over to CVS in Orlando (2PM appt time) and they stop recvg at 1PM!............................
So now I have to wait till morning and see IF they can unload me! (btw, it's only 5 boxes for a total weight of 67lbs! I offered to drop them off right there!..........lol)
And I am sure when I get to the other 2 stops they are gonna be messed up too! Hell the one in Miami has no dock according to google and the BOL is HANDWRITTEN!.......................
NONE of the info is on the Qualcomm either, when they sent me the load info the customer name, address, phone # all says UNKOWN!........Jarhed1964 Thanks this. -
am on a multistop broker load to, was to all be FCFS,.........NOT !

Florida Girl Thanks this.

One other thing i forgot to add................when I called dispatch to let them know CVS refused me they had no idea where i was or where i was going!........................
She said " all I see is UNKNOWN on my screen, I have no clue where your delivering to!"
I guess that explains why I got no reply to my QC msg earlier in the day asking for help in rescheduling the stops...................... -
Ok I will try this again tonight, I started this last night when I received a phone call that I needed to take.
Ok Folks I met with Brent Eastwood (New/old President) and Todd Gooch who is now the OTR Operations Director or whatever you want to call it.
First Brent is the New President of JBS Carriers and is by far not new to JBS he has had many titles and is still and Active member of the Board of Directors for JBS SA, and JBS USA. Brent is a very straight forward person, he might not know anything about trucking, but #### he would fit right in in a truck stop. There are no hidden meanings, or words you need to look up to understand. He is a Blue Collar worker who has worked his way up to where he is now. He no doubt is going to make changes to JBS Carriers as he has been tasked with turning the company around.
As you all know Mo Schroter is no longer here, nor is Russell Overla, and as of Today Russ Henning was let go also. This is not the start of another March, Brent made it very clear that certain people needed to be let go, in order for JBS Carriers to move forward and Expand. Yep you heard me right EXPAND no more Trucks, More DM's CSR, and Load planners. He is looking to make things easier on the drivers and again increase driver retention. Todd and Darrin Taylor are working to reduce the size of the fleets by adding more DM's as this will allow a more personal relationship between driver and DM.
During our 2 hour plus conversation I brought up some problems and offered solutions and pointed out financial cost of losing drivers due to orientation being a major area that needs improvement as far as driver training on the JBS System. ( as you all know I feel that even if you have worked a QC or Elogs not knowing how JBS works kills a driver).
The Orientation is going to be broadened and the tools will be provided to the man doing the job.
As far as the Fuel Optimizer program there are a multitude of reasons they are trying it out, Idiots going out of route, the fact that a fleet of 800 trucks at any given time sitting with 200 or more gallons at 4.00 a gallon is a ton of money. Think about the numbers here, and We have People who are out there Putting Fuel in the reefers and not choosing Both or Reefer on the Card Reader, other wise we are paying Road tax on fuel we need not too. Dumb as this sound to people with common sense it is obvious that many have none.
Just to give you an example of how things are changing I talked with 10 drivers on Friday ( Same day I left Greeley) and 6 out of Ten are out of Hours this week doing a 34 hour reset, due to an increase in mile. Like My self I am in GB with 2 hours until Saturday, reset being done now.
As for those of you on Regional do not expect an increase in miles not going to happen you are on a REGIONAL fleet.
OTR drivers expect to see more JBS Freight Brent Made is clear that the OWNERS have laid the law down, we are a Private Carrier and will be a private carrier, it is going to take some time to reverse what has been done in the last 11 months, contracts etc. We will be hauling more JBS Products.
Brent and Todd are in communication with JBS Corp to work out some serious issue's with Short Pilgrims runs, and working to recapture Beef and Pork loads.
Fox and others who have been here a while will understand the next statement.
In the start of JBS Carriers, carriers was late on a lot of loads, Oversold and under delivered, now we are Undersold and Over Delivering. So with that we will get more loads without a doubt.
And Several people who used to be a JBS before March ( the MO Layoff's) are already in talks with Brent and Todd as I am being told.
And to the Person who said "No Good Company has trucks sitting" I will say this when you have 8-12 delivered every week you will have trucks sitting.
And as of Last friday Per Dennis Astencio ( Recruiting manager) and Cary there were only 83 trucks sitting not bad compared to last year and as things improve the bad drivers will be getting weeded out. You know the complainers, the "I do not drive at night guys" and the one's who have to be home every week, they will be able to go find their dream jobs working local driving cabs during the day.
Anyone who is going to go sit down with Brent, I recommend that you have suggested solutions to any problems, if you go in only complaining and have no solutions, you will have a short meeting I guarantee it.The Challenger, DocRox, Scooby379 and 4 others Thank this. -
Sounds promising I've been on the fence on going to work there with some of the later posts I've read. But this sounds like they're trying to turn things around. I know it won't fix everything but its nice to see they're trying
