All this..... ^^^^^^^^...pretty much only pertains to this down below....
Good point but to this quoted part above, the reason a 40 year-old will pay less in car insurance than a 22 year-old is because the 40 year-old is more mellowed out and less likely to be wild and crazy like the 22 year-old.
The 40 year-old doesn't not act that way because of gained wisdom and the 22 year-old doesn't act that way because of a lack of wisdom, book-smart or not.
Ditto......djtrype Thanks this. -
Oh yeah, this was my other pet peeve....
People who whine about fog lights.........Lol!
C'Mon canuck, aren't there enough "anti" fog light threads?Peepsdawg Thanks this. -
whine about them??---ok i see you are one of the sheep in pick your colour--white/orange blue/ trucks that insist on using fog lights 24/7---WHY??? they are not increasing your vision more than 5 feet to the front-and maybe 10 to each side--they really dont do you any good unless it is raining or heavy snow---i dont run with my sleeper lights on--so why do all these people have to have their misaimed fog lights on---other than to look like complete idiots
-
First off, I was just pickin' on ya because of all the other fog light debates that have bombed in the past.....
Second, what are you talkin about, "the sheep that drive white, orange or blue trucks?" I'm having difficulty understanding this part.
If aimed properly, its more like 10 feet in front of you and like 10-15 feet on each side of the vehicle.
When I use mine, its not for the distance in front me but for the distance to the sides of me so I can see deer a little sooner.
Actually, heavy snow and fog was what they were "intended" for, least what the car manufacturers say.
They don't really help in rain.
In my opinion, and a lot of people tend to disagree with me on this but true fog lights are yellow, regardless of the fluting in the lenses and the similar light pattern they put out when white. That yellow light doesn't reflect off the snow flakes and off the tiny droplets of water that make up fog the same as white lights do. That's why almost anyone will tell you not to use your highbeams in fog or you'll end up blinding the piss out of yourself.
What do you mean by "sleeper" lights, the utility lights on the back of the sleeper, whether or not they are on with the clear lenses or the ones with colored lenses? I got red lenses on because I like that red glow on the front of the trailer.....
Now hold on a minute, which are you talking about that bother you, "fog lights" in general, or the ones that are improperly aimed because there's a difference. -
Pry not aleeping in. Pry pulled got in in the middle of the night and there was nowhere left to park. then hes still in bed cuz he hasnt been there since 7 the night before. i do this all the time. never block anyone in but gotta get creative. sorry if its not pretty, i'll work on that.

Canuck, are you referring to those of us that run our headlights when our windshield wipers are on? If so, you might find this interesting:
"As of April 2010, Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia have wipers on, lights on laws.
Read more: Laws on Headlights With Wipers | eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/facts_7598526_laws-headlights-wipers.html#ixzz1YEPOAhWu ". In other words, there are 27 out of the 50 states where it is required to have your headlights on if your windshield wipers are on or you are liable to get a ticket.

headlights are a little different than fog lights--i run headlights as soon as i get in the truck---day or night---it is proven that daytime running lights will increase the noticeability of oncoming vehicles and reduce crashes---fog lights on at night when they arent warrented is another thing--especially when they arnt aimed correctly
Ranger70 and 7122894003481 Thank this. -
I agree with you. It really ticks me off and it seems to be getting more and more common practice. in my opinion it's as bad as running with your brights on for on coming traffic.
