OK, so I now have 6 mos Verifiable OTR Experience, no tickets, no accidents. still currently employed by second company(not for long). I need to find a better job, this one just isn't cutting it. They can't get me home on time or at all sometimes, the pay is terrible and they treat me like a piece of garbage.
Anyone have any ideas on good company that will hire with 6mos of exp and can get me home somewhat regularly either in Las Vegas, NV or Southern Utah? I was thinking about maybe just going up to North Dakota to run water trucks in the oilfield because I am frustrated with my current position. I am not interested in sticking it out any longer, if you knew which company I am with you would understand.
Your thoughts?
Thnx!

did i read that right you have 6 months and are on your second trucking company?
-
My wife and I are talking about moving to ND, they are offering to move us and pay us each 90K, so my wife says. I have yet to talk to the company
-
Well, the first company wanted me to lease a truck or remain in training(read team driver) indefinitely. I am not into being packed into a confined space with another person for long periods of time, especially another man then have to trust them not to kill us... So I went looking after 2 mos with the first co, the current(second) company gave me a solo co trk after about 2 1/2 wks. So yes, I have six months and I ready to move onto a third company because I don't think I should work for wages less than a hamburger flipper at mcd's and never see home.

Wow... 6 months and 2 jobs?!?
You'd be better off sticking around your current company a while longer. Job-hopping looks horrible on anyone's resume. -
Hey brother,
Don't listen to this BS on here....I had 10 companies and 12 years....Trucking is trucking...I have found a home and been here for just over 5 weeks....PM me and I'll give you your answer.... NO BS from me, will tell you like it is and will offer you the red pill in trucking
-
Not the #### red pill in trucking. Give me the blue pill, I want to go back to the Matrix.

Hey, I have good reasons that any rational hiring personnel could understand. It's not like I just can't handle the job and walk away. I am rehirable with the first company and left on good terms, and will probably be the same way with this one when I resign. I have been professional in my dealings with these hooligans and not been treated reciprocally by them. Maybe some guys will sit here and put up with this for two years, that's not me. If I can't find something better than this, then I need to reevaluate my career choice...
I do, however, believe that I can find something better so I am actively looking for any leads that you all may have should you be willing to share them. Thanks -
LOL!!!!!!!!
