New to site.:biggrin_25519:. I have almost 10 years total driving. Mostly OTR, and 6 of them were as owner operator. Pulled almost everything, van, reefer, flatbed, straight trucks. Last time in a truck OTR was little over 3 years. Moved for wifes job about 18 months ago to middle of nowhere AZ (northern), and I havent worked anywhere, but at the house, getting it nice for the wife. I am in desperate need of a job, and really want to work. I either dont have enough recent, or live just to far off the path. J.B even said I wasnt close enough to anything for them to hire me. Does anyone have an idea for me??? Almost a million safe miles, is such a shame to waste it. So, with this info in mind, does anybody have a clue where I could get hired?? Anything for money at this point, at least for some more recent experience. Desperate in Az. I did work driving 10 wheel dumps, in MO, before moving here. Pulled the companies heavy equipment around with a pintel trailer, so its not like im totally out of practice. Thanks.

Because it has been so long sence you last drove a truck and your
in the "middle of nowhere" you may need to get a job just for the
reference. I was in a kind of simaler situation. I got a job as a school
bus driver for a few months. You have to pass a background check and
they put you through training. The pay is not very good but the hours are. IMO it makes a great reference because perspective employers
know you are clean. It was a good and somtimes challenging experiance
for me and made me cherish my own children more. Not for everyone
of course. It helped me get my current job delivering with a flatbed
because my boss was looking for someone with patience and attention
    to detail.

Thanks. Ive looked into that here, but all jobs are full at the moment, and not being navajo puts me in second place at hiring.

If you have an excellent MVR and arent afraid of hard work I know a Landstar BCO that operates flat-beds, drop-decks and RGN's that lives in Phoenix. I worked for him for 4 years and he pays well, offers BCBS, paid vacations and all the miles you can legally run.
