For those who have a laptop and a twain compliant scanner in their cab, I believe USX still makes it possible to download the software and just scan your trips in from your truck. They may still sell scanners at select terminals. Used to be around $140 and they would do payroll deduction in increments.

Don't count on the ones at the terminals to work. They always seem to be broken.

Why would someone pay $$$ for stuff to scan when it's free all over? How do you even find room for a printer/scanner?

I used an extra HP all-in-one from the house and built a wooden box out of 1/4 inch plywood to hold the printer, paper, Rand MCRA, etc. and secured it in the passenger seat with the seat belt and a bungee. For those who have a Ram Mount a USB cable easily connects the two, or if both the laptop and scanner have blue-tooth then no USB is needed. USX has a link somewhere to download the proper software to make it work, I just can't remember where.

One could probably get the software directly from Transflow's website. For those folks with an i-phone it looks like there is now an app to capture the paper work on the phone and then send from there directly to the company.
