I got a call from my fleet manager and he told me that due to an increase in violations werner has instituted a no tolerance policy company-wide for csa violations, so one violation=termination despite whether or not you have had a perfect record in the past. That seems a little harsh, can anyone confirm this?

Doesn't sound harsh to me. Compliance is mandatory, forgiveness is optional.

CSA=Confederate States Association the more points you get the better. I'm sure you won't have to work to hard at it.

Recruiting must be doing exceptionally well!

probabely just a scare tactic to try and keep everybody on the straight and narrow

that does sound a little harsh. DOT will find something if they want to bad enough. Hour long Pre trips arent practical. I got an out of service violation for an air leak that the dot witch had to shake the hose to get it to leak. Never mind the fact that the truck passed the air brake test.

Remember that under CSA2010, violations belong to both the driver and the company. Increased violations increase their insurance and yours. Werner is a starter company; they cannot afford to allow much slack and apparently, they've drawn their line.

This! I just got out of orientation and our instructor was explaining it all to us. Right now Werner is only a few percentage from being in trouble so they have no choice but to do it this way. He told us to look at Knights cause they have went past the limit and had to deal with alot of ####.

They are using the same tactics at my poe also.
They are micro managing us like crazy. I am ready to tell them to just drive the truck themselves or hire someone else.
