Wow Kinda thought this load was 2 good to be true. This is why I didn't jump for joy when I got it. A Ft worth tx to Syracuse NY. Only problem is it picked up friday. No big deal. Just head up to cow town sit at entrance of millard and get a 34 hr restart in. Even though I still had 45hrs left on my 70.

Then I get the dreded double beep. 1 beep usually means dispatcher is telling everyone she is going to lunch, but when I looked at time. It was 2 early. Checked message and was a PP. Quick thought went thru my mind. Maybe they pp already for monday when i'm Unloaded, but was a pp from Laporte to Lufkin Urkkk. I'm in Ft. worth. I already did my arrival at shipper call. Well make the call and the dreaded words I hear every time I get a good Pilgrims pride load. Load was cancelled.

Good part is I'm going to lufkin to drop trailer and bob tail to Brazil to get a new trailer and they will pay for DH up here to cow town total of 1300 miles. Could of been 1700 if load wouldn't have cancelled but its trucking. Now I just have to wait an hr to get my 11 back. Have a great day people.

I've only had that experience with one company, but they told me flat out, NO. I think thats because they were also offering a $2000 sign on bonus, and looking at their recent ads, they've dropped it.
It's just weird, some want recent, meaning past 2 years, or 5 years.
The application I filled out wanted to know everywhere I've driven in the past 5 years.
If I get up there, and they try and bump me down, they can fly me back home. lol

MR Foxfire i realize you make more than new trainers, an to me the extra 2cpm is not worth it, but i have been thinking maybe the miles would make it worth it, do you get longer trips being a trainer ? an how many miles a week do you average ? can you take a break from training an run solo sometimes ?

I have a couple questions about jbs. Do they have company drivers and can you lease a truck. Do you have a choice? Also what is starting pay after you get hired. Being new, just got my cdl I do not want to lease a truck.

we are all company drivers no lease, no owner operaters, pay depend on experience, students after training is 30 cpm i think,,, i would advice against leasing anywhere in this economy
