training with mentor

first fifty hours you drive and mentor sits in passenger seat hopefully giving you knowledge answering questions ect. you are supposed to do all qualcomm and trip planning. i believe there are 80 backups you are required to do. they are night and day, blind ect. after the first fifty you are basically team driving. the truck should never stop, at least mine mentors didnt. the driving test is just driving a truck for a different mentor that is testing you. kinda self explanitory. every mentor is different. ask plenty of questions, and if there is something you dont understand ask.

 

the final test is a piece of cake. we drove about 8 miles making lefts and rights then came into yard, then he had me backup to a dock in the yard, I had like 8 truck lengths to pull forward and line up straight. Hardest part is getting along with Mentor and driving all night.
