USX drivers...how's your day??

    Maybe I was in too big of a hurry to explain.....LOL.....She shifted to 5th and I shifted to 10th.......BUT....today she shifted all the way up and part of the way down.....................plus we ran from 0800 to 0030.....very good day and I believe she got in at least 10hrs drive time.

    We are sitting about 1hr from the terminal.....tried to update our PTA from 1600 to 1200 but FM said he couldn't because of the load???.........so we shall sleep in a little, get in some backing practice and then run down to the terminal.

    FEMA load didn't turn out so bad. Got to Baltimore and was told to take the trailer to Atlanta.

    Now I'm sitting at Ellenwood with a PA to p/u on 85 north of here. I won't have enough time to p/u and get back here. The load doesn't deliver until monday though. Hope to get rid of it since it's only going 200 miles.

    We have had a very "relaxing" day.....LOL..............got up at 0700, pretrip at 10, drove 70 miles, did some backing, went to the terminal, dropped trailer, got a shower, got new mt trailer, pre-trip at 0315, went to get loaded at two different places, came back to terminal at 2000...........it's only a 2 day trip and the load isn't due in until Monday morning, so we are just going to run with it tomorrow and get to Springfield, TN, Sunday afternoon.....in time to go shopping at Wally World....LOL

    well sitting at irving yesterday we meet the kid (37) that won the 2nd truck (idle reduction) and all i can say is what a waste of a good program

    doesnt think he will stay with usx pass fall, thinks ha can stay home for 3 weeks at a time, has no bills, then wants to know what it takes to be a trainner so he can make more money.....? this guy couldn't train a dog to sit.....!

    he's 37 but when you talk to him he sounds like hes 18 and not a clue what an optortunity he has to make money

    5 of us (me, my wife, my old trainer, his wife, and another driver) all trying to tell him what an optortunity he has and he just had that deer in the headlights look, didn't even know about his warranty on his truck, just didn't have a clue btw he's been driving for 1.5 years

    what a waste......

    If I was to win the 2007 FL Century,,,,I would say; "awe shucks,,,just give it to someone that knows how to dvive"...

    Down in LA at exit 101 at the TA,,,easy 400 miles today and will do the other 225 tomorrow and deliver monday morning..... beautiful day down here...

    Man, I don't seem to be getting miles like that at all. Been solo with USX now for 3 weeks. IS it my FM? Is it me? Wish I new. Good to hear that you did well last week.

    Hears a question...how DO I get more miles working with USX? Maybe I am not asking the right questions or begging the right way. Any ideas?

    I will say this; I am busy as all get out... When I was with SNI, I sat too much..are you sitting alot?? If you are sitting alot, than you need to talk to your FM and ask for more miles. If you mean you are not getting anough miles but are busy,,,short runs,,than that isn't bad. I got alot of short runs last week along with a long run and was very happy with my pay. Again, if you are sitting alot, than talk with FM and let that person know how you feel...hat in hand,,very respectful and it should go well.

    We had a very good day......student did ALL the shifting...LOL.....and she drove from Laredo to Texarkana.....right up I35 through San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas.....10.25hrs.

    Tomorrow will be about a 9hr trip so she'll be doing all the driving again and then we will sit and wait until Monday morning.
