This is the absolute worst thing you can do. NEVER stop in a traveling lane. Pull the heck over into the shoulder.

Also, if you need to merge due to a vehicle on the shoulder, make sure the lane next to you is clear before you merge over. If it's not clear, slow down.

This job isn't rocket science. All that should be required is some common sense and common courtesy. You can hire a monkey to hold a steering wheel.

Iwas in Chicago on the main drag, terrible wreck, both lanes dead stop, i did not know this till i got too truckstop, but over there, you are to stop on roadway , were you stop on traveled roadway, becuse over there they use the shoulder for there rescuse cars and stuff, i dont know if he was pulling my leg or not:biggrin_25524: i'm not from there, so i said okay, but yes pull off on the shoulder when safe too do so,:biggrin_25525:

WOW. Alot of opinions here. Lets consider the facts. A professional Driver would never intentionally force any Driver off the road or cause a near miss. Two- The Driver in the hammer lane was driving too fast for conditions. 3- Both Drivers are at fault here. All Drivers get frustrated and this is what can happen. This could have been an ending with several fatalities. I hope in the future these Drivers will both learn from their mistakes. They both should have calmed down, breathed and act in a professional matter. Clearly calmer minds did not prevail here. I find this video embarrassing to the true professional and would like to personally apologize for their behavior. Lets all be safe out their, you and others will live longer !:biggrin_2555:

Amazing that he would justop in a traffic lane.
Did he say why he did not SIGNAL and PULL OFF onto the SHOULDER? Just because he is incapable of seeing ahead sufficiently does not mean that others cannot and can still progresslowly.

That's why I loved puling OD. One time in OK City had a ### hat like this coming up behind in awful rain.. I was hauling 12' wide tanks. Just waited as I heard him coming on radio. Everyone cussing him out. Here he comes. Yellow Pete. Just ootched over into his lane and shut him down to about 30. The more he screamed the slower I got. All the threats and warning of being shot. LOL!! Finally got to 3 lane and he pulls up. Little twerp. Took one look over and off he went. Hope he wound up in a ditch somewhere. No place for morons like that.

It's not raining that hard and he is clearly not going that fast, what do you guys do? Slam on brakes and drive 30 mph everytime a few drops of rain hit the windsheild?? If you feel the need to do 30 mph on the interstate everytime it rains then just get off and wait it out....

I hope you remain a wanna be. That was in the middle of some of the most severe weather in that area in yrs. Wiped out the #### town. The other guy should not have turned in front of him, but cowboy had no business driving like a wanna be in that kind of weather. You have to KNOW that others are going to be slowing down even if you would rather not. Been there =done that. No different than any other traffic jam. If you get into it you just have to be patient and ride it out.
