Yes but don't do it ....

I have to agree with Mr. Bruce. Better off with an external amp.
-
i just want it to drive my bigger evternal amp
-
How big a amp do you have
-
If all you need (according to your original post) is 75 to 100 watts there are plenty of radios that will do that and drive an amp..

8 pill fatboy

He's referring to the RFX 75. The best money I ever spent.
-
The RFX 75 bolts to the back of the CB...What he is talking about is more commonly known as a "Stinger Board"...
And I agree..."Don't do it!" They are prone to heat build up inside the radio...
The RFX 75 dose the same thing as a Stinger Board, only since it has fins and bolts to the back of the radio, it is less likely to cause damage to the radio from heat build up.
The RFX 75 should get you swinging up around 100-125w's or better...Diesel Dave Thanks this. -
Nether kit will have enough get up and go drive that 8pill with 2879s in it,,,,, Just get you a box with a 1446 or a2290 driver with a pair of 2879s,, some ducks call it a 3 pill,,that is if you have a radio like a cobra 29 or uniden radio.
