Oregon had prepass. We just got 'red lighted' at every scale.

Oregon has NorPass, and their highway booms are set up to send red lights to any non recognized transponder. That's why you got the red lights.

Oregon is the only state I think that sends the red lights to non recognized transponders (Washington might, not sure). Oregon also has a bad habit of not turning off NorPass, so you may get a red light even with the scale closed.

Thanks man. Thats one of the reasons I still keep up with this, so newbies have has much info as they can have prior to coming here. And to hopefully influence others to make the Prime decision.

If you have any questions or anything, feel free to drop me a PM and I'll do my best to answer or find someone who can.

What has impressed me is this: While reading the Prime forums and posts, I have gotten the feeling that, even though this company does hire unqualified drivers and put them through CDL training, they do not have the same "starter company" approach I read on other forums, even with companies that aren't that much larger than Prime. It's almost like they understand what responsiblity, authority, and professionalism really mean. I like that.
