A driver lease agency is simply a temp agency that
    specializes in placing CDL drivers.
There are a lot of them out there.
Drivers Source, Optimum, Transforce, the list goes on.
They are ok for short term assignments but don't count on them
    for the long haul.
Usually you are replacing someone is on vacation, out sick,
    recovering from surgery, etc.
They are a good supplement to your regular gig if you wanna make
    some extra cash.
Or a good stop gap if you find yourself in between jobs for awhile.
But don't count on any of these guys for any more than the near
to short term no matter what their witty & wiley recruiter says.

We just signed up with TLC, which is a PEO. There are some distinct differences, don't paint them all with the same brush.

I do paint them all with the same brush.
I've dealt with a couple of these agencies.
Smooth talking recruiters are nothing new in this arena.
But these driver lease outfits take it all to a new level.
If you are going to work for one them I would suggest
you do it on a part-time basis to start out.
Test the water so to speak.
Don't quit your other job altogether just yet.
That way if you get screwed over you'll still
have your other gig to go back to.
Otherwise you might find yourself holding the bag.
