Read the above thread...
some jobs you drive more, some you lump (load unload), and drive less...
Temperture controled lifestyle is kinda sucky sometimes imo...so i went dryvan.
the fact they withhold pay at $50 week (i think) till you have been wotking for a while kinda sucks...afterall you pay taxes on thst money...most places just pay you a bit less to start...and give you raises....so take that into account.
compare the offers..then pick the best for you...different folks will make different choices. -
If your going OTR you could to ok at best. But regional suxs out load....... Just way to much time between appts to make any money imoa
-
i start orientation on the 24th, i got my cdl from fox valley technical collage (#1 school in the nation) 10 week program, i just need to know if the loads are available i don't want to sit for long?
-
You will always have sit time in trucking for one reason or another better get used to it..
-
I have never worked for either of those companies but based on what I have learned about them over the years WEL hands down no question IMO the far better choice...
-
i know that but i need to know how WEL is
-
My point was reefer is reefer doesn't matter what the name on the door is your gonna being running cold storages and grocery warehouses and with them comes down time waiting on some minimum wage idiot to load or unload you..
-
ok, but i was meaning layovers, not load/unload time, i don't really want to be sitting in one place for a few days waiting for back haul
-
10-4.....I misunderstood..
