After you finish your training, you go to Springfield. You take a test on a 'truck' simulator that is basically driving around, a 90 degree right and left turn, a straight back, and an offset back.
Then you basically go through orientation again.
After this you get your own truck.

Was wondering if any other prime drivers had a FedEx load before I dropped my 1st one yesterday wasn't that bad dry load of course(always a +) light load
only drawback it didn't load til midnight and was scheduled to depart til 0130 that morning(we left at 0030) there was a little confusion at the FedEx terminal in Seattle though dispatcher wasn't in yet and guards didn't know what to do it
was a drop and hook......not bad -
We took one from Cali to Oregon and got there with 1 minute to spare. And I ran 62 the whole time.
FedEx people are usually pretty cool too. The Cali people were awesome and helped us out a lot and were totally cool with us. The ones in oregon also were cool as they let us sleep in the dock and just left us alone.Everett Thanks this. -

He would go back to Pittston for his upgrade, they do an actual road test (good luck with that). Could also pick up the truck from there too

How much of the freight do you actually fingerprint? Does Prime pay for lumpers?

Very little. Prime pays for lumpers. They don't want you to unload it yourself. One exception I've seen.... the ?@&#&$%@?@? /2&?@?#& flower loads. Those you do have to unload yourself.

I was reading a poster's thread and his name is truckermike. he is a former driver for prime and he was saying in his thread that you get 4 days off for 4 weeks out. My question is do you get to keep the truck those 4 days your off?
