Narrow this down some. What type of driving job do you want? Out 4-6 weeks? home every night? No North-East driving? East of the Mississippi or nationwide? Reefers? Vans?Flats? Give this some long, hard thought which is hard for a Marine I know. hehehe as a former Paratrooper I couldn't help it.
damnewB Thanks this. -

HAHA that's funny but true haha but I don't really care what trying to stay in the midwest region but I wouldn't mind 48. So someone told me TMC or System Transport. And thank you for your service many moons ago haha

I belive they do team driving if your into that. They also do slip seating.
I chose to go single and 11 days on 3 off. But you could stay out for as long as 36 with 7 off. The big hubs are located in Chicago and Marshfield, WI.
I know of one guy that went with Werner and he hated it. low pay, lots of other issues I won't go into. -

So I have made my decision. After looking at many compainies and I want to be a flatbedder so I narrowed it done to 2 system tansport and tmc. Well system transport said bascially that they were a northwest company and should look into TMC( I didn't even mention there name once while I was talking to the lady) so that's it I'm going with TMC. Haven't heard one bad thing about them yet.
Thanks everyone for your help for helping me get the best #### career going! -
I started on a flatbed many years ago with Swift. The thing about a large company like that was they had the freight base to keep me moving and when I ended up in a place without a flatbed load i hooked a van. When there wasn't one of those I took a container or double flats or double vans or a reefer. I think you get my point. This is an advantage that dedicated flatbed companies can't provide and has the added bonus of getting you experience with many types of equipment.
