I am very anxious to get going again, get my insurance back, get back in the saddle before I get too rusty... At least now I can do normal stuff again now that the doctor has signed my release. I have been working on my daughters car for the last couple of days, she killed her transmission... Also getting my hazmat renewal done, so that will be squared away when I renew my CDL in the spring. I guess I just need to work on being more patient...

More options with that hazmat. How much they charging now?
-
Do you know any female trainers at Roehl?
-
yeah, who's that chick that used to be a flatbed trainer. Lori, Loren, something, I dunno. She is awesome and puts most everyone else to shame when it comes to load securement.
Shimmymama Thanks this. -
Loren I think, and she does a really good job. I have seen her out do the guys on several different occations. I have never talked to any of her students, but if she does training like she does load securement, I'm sure she does a good job.

Yea I've seen her. Makes me feel like a lazy slob! We have several good female trainers.

It is $60 for the renewal, I have always had tank and hazmat, I live in the middle of oil country. They best part, out of all the time I have been driving, I pulled tank for one year with LTC. The only good part about that was I loaded out of Bradford, and Franklin all the time, so it was good home time and good miles. The bad part was some of the stuff we hauled was really nasty. The kind of stuff that if you go some on you and didn't get it off in like 5 minutes you would die. Anyway lots of protective gear, and you be real careful.
-
I played with some of that type of stuff at universal wells back in 98. Only hauled a little straight truck tanker. Lol. Nasty stuff there.
-
I never minded the hazmat, you just had to be on your toes all the time. I have never had any hazmat at Roehl, but then you don't normally haul that kind of stuff on a flatbed or curtainside...

Don M is a trainer I just found out, that guy is going to be an awesome trainer. If you get him you're in good hands.
