    Hi all,
I thought it might be fun to explore the forums and learn a little here an there,

After high school I went to work in the home construction trade. I was so bad at pounding nails that the contractor put me to work in a building supply that he owned!

Got my CDL at 20 thanks to training from my Aunt who drove for a regional trucking company and a sheet rock contractor who loaned me his cabover and flatbed trailer for the drive test.
Through the years I've hauled building materials, ready-mix concrete, and beer.

I've spent the last 15 years driving for US Foodservice mostly in 2-axle tractors pulling a 28ft reefer or a set of doubles or an occasional 48ft reefer trailer, but mostly a single pup.

Wheelin' groceries down a ramp and into a restaurant is not every driver's dream job but it keeps me fit and I have found it to be the best of both worlds as I run about a thousand miles a week and still get to be home every night with the wife an kids.

I recently traded down from a position in Northern California in a 2009 TranStar with a 6-speed auto to a position in Kentucky driving a 2005 8600 with a fuller 10-speed, but I got a nice home out in the country away from the crime and crazyness I had in the city in California.

Anyway, nice yappin' at y'all about myself, I'll be lookin' round the site.

    Best wishes,
    Drivin'Dave
