Sorry but not long enough. You put a low monetary amount for what has been taken away by your 24/7 devotion to the company and the piecework they pay you for.
But you can take comfort and dry your tears knowing that many of your brethren are not even bringing home a grand a week for their devotion.
One day when you are sitting on that public pot or trying to limber up after being scrunched up in that little house box behind your workplace the litebulb will light up. Or maybe it won't and you will end your days in the gypsy lifestyle. Either way they are getting you cheap for the sacrifices you make to get $1,100-$1,400 a week

Wow. You must have had it terrible where you were.
I am hardly "scrunched up" in my "little box." I'm not big enough to be scrunched up in here. If'n I ever do get that big, somebody feed me cyanide. Life won't be worth living.
Sacrifices....I go where I want to go...um...I get paid to go there.....er.....I don't have someone breathing down my neck... wait...I'll think of one......okay, well, ya got me with the public potty, but sometimes that's better than sharing one with six guys who like their beer...a lot.
Who are you to judge what is good for me? Tell me, please, what job am I qualified for right now that pays $62K/year after expenses? Oh...and doesn't include the "Hell of Many Cubicles"....eh? -
Foget it. Its not worth wasting my time.

You think $1,200 a week is good money for a lease operator? LOL
I guess it beats working at the Injun casino.Last edited: Oct 3, 2011

If you are going to pop tall and personalize a generalized post that I made then don't get all numpty when I comment on your irrational thinking process.
You judged what was good for you, not me. I simply pointed out a lack of critical thinking when you boost of partial compensation from a carrier and poor quality of life as a fair trade for the monetary gain you received.
The hell of cubicles? Another rationalization because if you break it down 8hrs in a cubicle versus 14 in truck cab? Equal hell if you ask me.
Don't get all disgruntled. Like I said you should in time have that public pot moment. There is much rationalization of the irrational one must go through to be a OTR driver. I did it, everyone does.
