I have had issues with Hartt. Not easy people to talk with. they tend to be abrupt and rather nasty.
RC Moore is a good company.
I dont now much about New Century
I wiuld suggest Pottles from Bangor maine area. They have terminals in the northest and have a good relationship with the workers. I worked for them for 7 years.

i was you i'd locate west oR north of portland (up us rout 1). is some nice rural small towns that are a short commute into the city. start getting into the city and you may as well be living in boston on nyc.

If we had our druthers we'd live near Brunswick and she could commute if she worked in Portland. Better yet, she'd find a gig in or near Brunswick.

NEMF was one of the best and favorite companies i worked for. i only quit because i had too many other personal responsibilities during the daytime. i would like to go back to them actually.

The only negative thing may be (and this may have changed) Is you will start working linehaul at night. So, starting off it is a nightime job as in 10pm to up to5,6, 7am!

But on the positive side it is all literally driving, dropping and hooking period. (you can work the dock if you want for extra$$$, but it is completely optional) Another positive thing is that they are unionized.
