1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

    Let's see.....

    23 years old.

Three tickets, two of which are major violations.

Two rear-ender collisions. (I think I got that right.)

    Been in jail twice.

All in the last three years and all a price of hanging out with the "cool crowd."

Well, lemme tell ya...I've been hanging out with a bunch whose level of "cool" would make your buddies look like pikers, for over 25 years. By your count, I should have been wearing stripes eight or nine times by now. I've been cuffed n stuffed exactly once in my life due to a major miscalculation on the part of a young deputy...without any official arrest, no transport to the hoosegow and no charges filed.

You seem a bit cavalier about the whole thing.

My opinion is, you need a few more LEO contact free years before the realization of your dream.

I am not sure why you would not want to pursue career fields in your degree area.

However, if you really want to be a trucker, then you should work your way into the business. Get on as a mechanic or a yard hand in a trucking company in a high demand job, such in the oilfields.

Work there and prove yourself. You will be one of the first they will consider for a driving job. And stop getting tickets.

What's up man, I watched several of your videos on youtube. Good stuff........ I read where you said you didn't want to put all your ideas into one vid.... Maybe..... If you did though and came up with a cool title I bet it would get a lot of hits. Then people might start asking you more questions thus giving you ideas........................................................................ 4 more videos

Btw drivers solutions never called me back after they saw my record.

Thank you to everyone that helped me out and I apologize with integrity for "Bickering."

Maybe folks like me will read this in the future and understand that a truck driving career is out if their record looks like mine. Hopefully it will save someone time.

I'll try again in a few years........

Trucking industry is run by insurance company's, and the DoT. with that being said trucking company itself has almost no say in hiring you, they ask insurance if they will insure you, and insurance company's have standards where if you get insured for a trucking job you could probably get hired as a police officer(SARCASM)

I had a hell of a time finding a company that would take me being under 23... SWIFT wouldnt take me... finally lucked out with Western express after calling 62 company's recruiters, reasons ranged from i need more training time, i need experience, i need to be at least 23, im out of the hiring area. and thats with no record! prime wanted each of my previous employers verified, so a stable work history is important to. the more i think about it the more i believe if you can get hired with a company you can probably get accepted to police academy...
