Quote was for 1 mil liabilty, 100k cargo, 35k uninsured motorists, driver w/1 year otr experience and 1 careless driving ticket, hauling dry material, no pipe, steel or coils, 500 mile radius limit.
    Annual premium= $34,539.00

Are you sure that either you or the agent didn't put a decimal point in the wrong spot? I believe a couple of years ago someone got a quote from an insurance company where the premium was about $36,000, but that was on Long Island. I don't recall the insurance company. I believe he moved his business to Pennsylvania and got a much lower quote. I think the new quote was about $12,000. That is still high, but much less than what he was quoted living on Long Island. For $34,000 you could buy a truck and pay a years premium in most states.

Heck, for $34k you can buy a truck outright and lease on to somewhere and pay 4 years of premiums outright :biggrin_25523:

price quoted was right. I asked what would it be if the driver had no tickets and it would have been 24,650.00.

It might be worth it to get an address in another state rather than to pay that much of a premium. That is insane!!!!

I don't pay that much and I carry $200,000 per car,$300,000 per Bentley and I thought my insurance was high.
