the problem is that not so many drivers here got experience of driving, maintaning and fixing US and EU trucks. I used to do it with US and EU vehicles. I know the real difference.
American trucks are so much better than European trucks

Well, if you are talking about that Dices's thread - it got locked because of his dumb remarks about my family life. Moderators locked it promising they will clean it but then figured out it was him who was real offender (aside with you) and never completed. And V8Lenny is just another wuss like you who thinks he knows it all. The difference is Lenny knows quite a bit about diesel engines and sometimes post interesting stuff. Unfortunately he is a racist little f-k as I learned years ago (before you even had your 38 Scanias)
Thats all. I despise just 3 of you. 100% morons though. -
Ya ya whatever jacka** -
first of all if you compare US truck vs EU truck do not compare Cabover vs Conventional truck. Look deeper.
Hey, US drivers, do you remember laws limiting truck lenth, when COE age was in the USA? In Europe these laws were not canceled! And seems to me US drivers hate cabovers (I know why!) so when they see EU truck they associate it with old cabover.
EU trucks of conventional design are rare.
And US conventional trucks are not classic conventional vehicles, becouse engine is moved under cab. Not fully, but like in van.
To compare engines is the stupid idea. US and EU trucks share powertraine. Do you think European engines are used on US trucks, US engines not on European???? Hah, not so many, but CAT, Cummins are on ERF, MAN, Sisu and other, and Renault trucks with Mack engines keep running.
So what to compare now? Brake systems. Suspention, Axrs! -
Usa vs Euro trucks is like a debate of modern sportscars vs 60s musclecars.
I for one would love to see man or scania build a longnose aero truck for the NA market.

T series trucks were available in Europe too. Really there are some trucks of conventional design on EU market. Iveco PowerStar EU edition, Titan, Astra, Zetros and other. But in Europe they are generally used as overweight/oversize haulers.

IMO, if EU will let longer trucktors, both Conv. and COE trucks will be used. In the USA there are many places where European cabover will be much berrer. -
Back when I drove the rotterdam/valencia route used to see all the prototypes testing between Lyon and Barcelona. -
I have a fly/gb slotcar with that cab.
