See, when I first "met" JCW I told him 1. WYSIWYG and 2. I'm a "B." That way he didn't have a leg to stand on when that 2nd part really showed through it didn't come as a surprise.
I freely admit being a witch w/ a B. And while I can sugar coat stuff, I generally don't. Saves much misunderstanding later, if you know what I mean

Man I cant see why this company has gotten such a bad rap! I have been reading tons on this company from current drivers who have been there for some time and reading through their website it sounds like a great opportunity and very good company! Time for some googlefu and see what else i can find.
-
Good luck in your hunt I hope this helped you out.
-
Ok thanks so much it was very helpful! I know I didnt say it before so I will now: Im sorry to hear of your current problems and I hope you get well soon!
Im actually wondering how well the company drivers are doing on average miles and pay. Like I said I wouldnt do the lease thing, I would put the years in and then think about O/O instead. But thats me! -
What "hidden fees?"

Oh, I know! The ones that they "hid" from themselves because they closed their eyes when reading the contract they were about to sign... and didn't READ the stinkin' contract!
Run company a year or five. Learn how the business works. Learn how to run a business. Then think about it. Newbs don't need no stinkin' truck lease!DenaliDad Thanks this. -
Cage its good 2hear from Lu hope all goes well and hope 2 see you soon
-
I agree totally! You are right, there arent any hidden fees. Like you said most of them that failed and are complaining failed to take into account all of the financial burdens they would be subject too and really had no idea what they were getting themselves into. Which is nobody's fault but their own for not reading the contract fully and not having a proper business plan or knowing how to run a trucking business in the first place.
Are you a company driver, L/O, or a O/O? -
I run on the dark side... lease op.
-
A thrill seeker I C..
So how long were you in the biz before you decided to do that?
From what I have been reading I get the impression that if you do lease the company is the one making out because they still own the truck but you take on all the burdens. You would be better off if you bought a truck outright and financed it through a bank. Will you own the truck at the end of the lease or do you turn it in and lease another newer truck?
I guess leasing a truck and leasing a 4 wheeler are a lot different. With my 4 wheeler lease anything goes wrong with it the dealership pays for all towing and repair costs, they also pay all scheduled maintenance costs.
Im not even remotely thinking about this option mind you, I am just curious how it works or how it benefits you.
