well, went to arizona shool of technology trucking school today....3 programs-

    $8000 -financial aid
$7000 - revised scheduale and loan
    $4200 -cash

expensive, and i thought they would be...

she is going to try to get me on with stevens out of texas....they don,t take 2 dui,s...but it seems like its up to the company,..

not real sure about getting into trucking again, its hard, long hours, away from home...dot and police on your back...hours at the shipper and receivers....i am 60, and the job i am doing is getting phycially demanding...thought maybe trucking would be a good fit, get away from physical work...just hire a lumber...or maybe get into flatbed.

I agree about not giving up finding a company driving job. If you think that you want to buy a truck and get your authority you may want to check around on insurance rates before doing anything. You need to make sure you can even get insurance before going shopping for a truck.

If you can hang your hat in Cali, theres a trucking program thru ROP (reginal occupation program) and its free. Thats how my wife got her Class A and its FREE.:yes2557:
I think the classe are held in El Cajon and its 2-3 days a week, one class in the AM and one class in the PM . you only have to attend one or the other not both. So morning classes or evening classes what ever fits your schedule
AZ may have a similar program in Phoenix, but im not sure cuz i dont live there. Its worth looking into tho and the price is right:yes2557:

thanks for the info...i might not drive truck now...i was making 30,000 a yr at my job, and they reduced my wages to 24,000.....if i drove truck...maybe i would make 30,000, but lots of expenses out there...i have driven for 15 yrs, and my desire is not there, with the dot stuff going on and all the reguation...drive down the highway, the dot wants to tell you how to drive, look at all the signs, sign pollution in my book...i quess if my health gets too bad that physical labor becomes a problem , then maybe,,, i just hate being away from home, and its really stressful job to top it off
