I had rack built on the catwalk area behind my cab where I carried my 250 Kawasaki motorcycle. I never had a problem from anyone about it.

Not the bike itself, but I've ridden halfway across the country with duffle bags held on with bungies and a laptop hanging out of my saddle bags. If it weren't for parts falling off the bike I wouldn't have lost anything.

Too much anecdotal evidence, in this thread. Can someone post some actual regulation citations, from FMCSA? I have hydraulic hoses that are affixed to a PTO that are simply coiled and bungee corded to the deck plating on the cat walk. If this is a discrepancy, I would like to present this to my safety department to have it fixed. I didn't come out here to get tickets for my company. Thanks in advance!
