Thanks for this post man, I like roehl a lot. I cant wait to get out of school and start with them. A lot of people in my class basically told the recruiter from covenant to shove it! lol. They force you to team for the most part, and they pay crap wages even for a starter company. A few people are going for werner. I kept my mouth shut and just gave a lot of people in my class the address to this forum so they can read a lot of info for themselves.

I worked for Roehl for only a short while as a flatbedder. I didn't have any problems to speak of either. And I never really waited for loads. I was moving all the time, in fact I wished that there would be more time between loads. The van guys seemed to have more gripes, but there are more of them yucking it up in Gary.

My truck was in the shop quite a bit, but it had 750,000 on it (ol' 3798) and needed to get phased out.

1 thing to think about if your going here. Hope you get an APU. Because your raises depend on a few criteria and Idle percentage is one of them.
Guys that hired on when I did would get their raises before me and more of them. That to me didn't seem a fair way of doing it. If you like your air like I do, your gonna have to run up the idle. Or sleep with the blazing heat, windows down, misquito's and the worry of someone climbing in bed with you in the middle of the night. APU means more money in your pocket.

I like Rohel alot. I only live about 40 miles from their HQ in Marshfield. I looked extensively at this company when choosing who I wanted to learn from/work for. Unfortinuatly I did not meet certin credit requirements for CDL training. However, If I ever find myself unhappy in my current assignment, Rohel would definatly be on my top 5 list of next companies to work for!

Maybe, but doubtful. You get paid for what is on your dispatch. If there is a problem with your pay, a quick phone call to your payroll rep and they will clear it up. If they own you money, it will be on your next check and if you think you should have been paid for something, they will explain to you whay you weren't.

We've heard alot of things, but never that.

Unless it's a dedicated run, there is no set back haul for any run they have.

You know..I 'heard' about this putting a camera in the truck...I guess the question is, why did Roehl think that they needed to put one in his truck?

    DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

The camera thing sounds creepy. I couldn't and wouldn't work for any company that puts a camera in the truck.
