yup. Went straight to three mudholes in Cali. If that wasn't depressing enough, none of the shippers were ready for me. The first one refused to let me count the load and wouldn't let me write SL+C on the bills. Sure enough, they didn't give me everything.... luckily I wrote Shipper Load and Count on the comments section of my loaded call macro. Saved my dupa from doom!

Yeah. Got her dirty again, but it was still worth it. Got some really old nasty crap out of there. She washes off easier now, too. I have a california duster to help with the dust that gets on the hood. Sucks when the sun glistens off of the dust particles... blinding!

So. The defecation finally hit the rotary oscillator.

I need service. My front axle of my two drives has four really crap tires on it. They were shaky at best in July. I also have an 8" crack in my windshield. Phoenix shop refused to fix it. I have documentation proving I turned it in for these things.

Next. The past few runs I've had, the shippers and consignees weren't ready for me. Not even close. Which causes me to be quite late by the time I needed to be in Twin Falls, ID for a critical pickup on Friday. I get there Saturday and get lucky to be loaded several hours later. Now I'm home.

I get to phoenix a day early. I deliver this morning and I get told I'll be going to Albuquerque. What I'm not yet aware of is that they're trying to dispatch me on hours I don't have. Meaning I'd only have about three hours left on my 14 and I have to be to ABQ by 7am tomorrow. I stopped working at noon. Therefore, I can't do the run.

Someone dispatches me after I say I can't do it... and my Qualcomm goes off at 8pm saying I need to be to a shipper in Phoenix by 8pm... NICE.

I called into dispatch and told the guy (don't know him) what happened and that I can't do the run. One, I have no hours. Two, I'm very tired from the day and I can't drive 11 straight hours, even if I had them.

Dispatch procedes to lecture me, as if I've ever messed up. I ALWAYS do my job. I never ask for breaks and I only wanted to be safe and pass the load onto the next available guy. Wow... what a turd.

So I'm at home with my truck. I took everything out that is mine. I shot video of the tires, windshield and how well I cared for the truck. I actually just had the outside done. Waxed and tires/wheels detailed, too. Just wanted to get some wax and coated polish on the chrome before I run into winter weather.

I'm taking my truck in tomorrow when I feel rested enough to drive it, and I'm turning it in AGAIN. For the THIRD time to try to get my tires replaced and my windshield replaced.

If they write me up, fire me or give me more verbal harassment, I will tell them to expect a phone call from my lawyer.

I went in today. Turned in my truck, keys and a letter to my dispatcher explaining in detail the issues I'm having.

He immediately filled out a third paper for the shop to replace my tires and windshield. I received an apology and we got right to work getting my truck in the queue for services.

So far, so good. It shouldn't have taken three tries.

The good part is that they pointed out that I always get my work done, paperwork done and always get general duties done on time and properly. A couple of people were worried that I wanted to quit. I don't want to quit, I just want a safe truck to drive...

all is good. I will update later!

Good on ya for shoving that into their faces! Not worth the fines and your license to drive an unsafe truck, not to mention the danger it poses.

As far as the moron lecturing you when you told them you were out of hours, you might have just asked that "person" if they wanted you to run illegally, to just send it through the QC so it's on record. That usually shuts their "man-pleasers" pretty quick.

indeed. I stood my ground without being rude about it. My regular dispatcher immediately helped me and is personally seeing to it that the shop does things correctly this time.

Time to finally kick back in my recliner, surf the web, watch Red State (new Kevin Smith movie) and hang out with the cats. FFFFFFFfffffffffffff.... that's the pressure coming off. Hooray.

i dont know what it is about those sub dispatchers. i hate it when my dispatcher takes his days off.. i'm about to start taking 34's whenever he takes his two days off just so i wont have to deal with anyone else.. and Red State isn't as good as it could have been.. but still not baad.

I just finished Red State. It was good. Not too long, not too short. I could still tell it was a Kevin Smith movie, though. Not a bad thing.

I won't talk spoilers, but the fates of certain characters was a tad unexpected and good.

I hope Hit Somebody turns out good.

Relaxing... looking forward to getting back on the road soon.
