    Right Weedpatch off the 58 is a Truckstop with nice new Hampton Inn across the street, and plenty of places to eat.

    Here, I marked it with the purple pin.

    Funny you should ask......Just went thru there yesterday and today. Flying "J" at Merced Ave and N Hwy 99 north of B'field. Bruces at Weedpatch and Hwy 58 east is closed. 24/7 "travel plaza" across the street is still open. You don't want to stay there. FYI Re: Bruces Lot is wide open with a few trucks parked there. Store has stuff in it, Cat scales still in the ground and Idle Aire still there with office signs stating "open". Scotsman next door looks closed. The Renegade across the hwy on the south side ain't bad if you must stay there. My suggestion, hang out at Loves in Tehachipi, almost new, only about 25 miles east.

    There is a Wally at corner of Coffee and Blue Star that said they allow overnight parking. About 4 miles from consignee.

    Vegabond Inn-Olive Drive @ 99. Truck parking, 30 bucks gets you a nice bed and TV. Food, beer and smokes just around the corner if needed.....nice for a 34 hour break.

    Yeah, actually B'field is very truck friendly, with motels galore and truck dealerships along hwy 99. Very spread out too. Also T/A and Petro at the I 5/ 99 split.
