I read on a travel blog that you should delete all your pics before going in, upload them in country and delete them from your camera before leaving.
Don't know if it's true though. Sure would like to see pics of the area! It would be nice to go there sometime.
Congrats! keep us all updated.
Flying to China this weekend.

I do not know if that is true, either, so it's probably a good idea to validate it with the State Department or CIA web sites. I do know that my daughter has uploaded photos to Facebook, including the trip she made into North Korea. Yup. THAT North Korea. Both countries have absolutely marvelous scenery. The differences between the two countries is very, very clear, however. There is a river that separates them; on the Chinese side, the buildings are large, opulent, and modern. On the North Korea side, the buildings are old, small, run-down, and basically falling apart.

Thanks everyone. I will update when I get there. As far as the pics, in all of my travels to China in the last 5 years, never had a problem with pics in the camera.
fr8monkey Thanks this. -
Reminds me of when my g/f went through El Paso the first time. She looked over to the left and commented to the effect of WTH? about a neighborhood.
I told her that was Mexico.
In all fairness I used to go to Mexico all the time. It is a crying shame what has happened that you can't travel safely there now. -
Yup. It's even dangerous to drive on THIS side of the border now.
