Your favorite hole in the wall?

There is a little place near Bruce Crossing in the UP of Michigan on 28. It is called Grandma Grooters. Last time I was there would have been about 1998? The food is simply wonderful. Simple menu with simple foods made very well with great ingredients. Not a hole in the wall by any means......just real good.

 

Two of my favorites are PA bbq in Indiana, PA and Gio's in Woodland, PA

 

Burnt to the ground years ago.

 

Here's one in my hometown. I worked at the truck stop that you can barely see in the background. They closed it this year, after being open for the last 50 yrs. For any of you "ol timers that ran refers, hauling box or swingin beef, you might have visited this one while waiting to be loaded at IBP in Emporia.

 

It is always sad when a good one goes down.

 

We have a great little place here in Westville, IN !!! It's called Hunt's Cafe and Truckstop and it's tricky to find... but basically where US421 and US6 come together you will see the Westville truckstop (don't go there it's nasty) instead of going right onto 421/6, go straight 1 block to the other truckstop which is hard to find, but us locals know where it's at. only open from 5am-2pm but has the best BnG you will ever find!!!

Green Acres restruant on US41 in Chyuga, IN is the place to be.......

Also, for great Catfish Nuggets you will have to go to Berea, KY I-75 exit 76. Truck stop is on the west side of the interstate. Park and walk nextdoor to the mom-n-pop joint and enjoy. Best I've ever had!!

Barnes and Noble has a nice one!...Oh dang, did I write that in a public forum...

 

La Chaquita's in Fontana off of Cherry st exit. Couple blocks from the Central terminal. The absolute bomb!!!

 

Go armed!!!!!!

 

Its well worth dodging a few gang members!
