yeah I learned that at RDTC...but now I really only double on the down shift...going up is only if I remember or have a reallly heavy load...
-
Hey varmit I start at Ellenwood on the 17th. Did you find out if you got in on that date or not? I'm going for the 14/7. Excited to get this ball rolling.
-
I am thinking about Roehl also. I graduated from Daly's in August but due to helping a family member didn't get my CDL until September. I was considering the 24/7 but may do the 14/3 instead. Roehl seem like a good company for new drivers.

Roehl is a good company for newly minted drivers...if you aren't used to the lifestyle it can be tough wherever you go...but you picked a good company to start with..and your training FM should work with you if you have any questions...plus we can help too from time to time...
bonbonsron Thanks this. -
Sorry to inform all you guys of this but going broke fast and still not getting a response from my recruiter all she says is that there still processing paper work and it has been a while since I have had a job beginning of September so had to go with comcar cause they will have me in orientation tomorrowand roehl recruiter is saying maybe Halloween maybe following Monday but thanks again to all you guys you were all a great help be safe and happy trucking

ya gotta do what ya gotta do...but hey if your unhappy at comcar...don't forget you can always come here LOL...
varmit42 Thanks this. -
Well this is gonna start sounding like absolute craziness but the ccc recruiter told me they could get me in sooner than roehl and due to my finances and the fact I have a family to support it seemed like a good idea until they got my info and said sorry only 2 positions and 200 apps so that was a no go now I called roehl they needed some medical release paperwork about a workers comp injury I had this year in July so fingers crossed and praying hard that the stuff the doc sent will be enough to clear me for a orientation date of the 31 or Nov 7. Sorry if all this sounds like I can't make up my mind just need to start making a check to stay caught up on bills plus been almost a month since grad date they may send me to do refresher hahahahaha

Keep in mind that Roehl's classes are small so that is why they can't just start you next week like other companies. Most of the big companies pack the classes to the max because they are playing the numbers game on who makes it. Roehl has pretty much decided who they want before you even get the go ahead.varmit42 Thanks this.
