The company can put anything on your DAC they want. Anything from drug test results, to demeanor, accidents, log violations (although that's pointless since CSA was released), etc,

That is what the "in crowd" enjoys doing. I am proud to say I am an outcast.

Im also an outcast. I cant stand about 80% of the truckers and supertruckers I encounter. I see a lot of complaining and tattling, and all kinds of nonsense spewing from the mouths of a lot of truckers both on the road and drivers at my company. Its not a brotherhood anymore, even though now, more than ever, it should be. I'm proud to be an outlaw trucker....

This DAC stuff sounds like a terrible thing. I suppose false or shady reports could be cleared up with a decent lawyer I would hope. What a bunch of BS.

    KE5WDP and THBatMan8 Thank this.

It's an "us vs. them" attitude. And no integrity.

    Whatever.

Late on one load...probably wouldn't have been mentioned.

Late on five loads within a single year? Next prospective employer might want to know about that. Remember you're only hearing one side of the story. A driver is not telling the whole truth just because he's a driver. When's the last time you sat at the liars'....I mean... lunch.... counter?

Had a similar "incident", got detoured, came to a bridge marked 28000 lbs max, at time i was about 78000 lbs, No room to turn in street, dark and hard to see, just about to p/u my cell, when a LEO showed up and says, looks like you ight need some help?, I said, would be greatly appreciated, he said hold on, I'll see what I can find, came back and said, I think theres a driveway you can back into to too get turned around, come take a look and see if you can fit?, nice guy,

It must be a form of "conditioning" Some drivers succumb to this conditioning and become almost robotic, and monotonous, let alone have or allowed to have or display integrity. Its sad actually.

Oh Ive sat at a few lunch counters. Many times its like a disturbing comedy listening to some of those blabbermouths.

I suppose living a loner kind of lifestyle could over time, affect a persons outlook, causing them to become inane and predictable. But conditioning is a big part of it, I think.

Ive personally seen late loads happen as a result of faulty dispatching. Any trucker worth his or her weight, can deliver a fair dispatch. 3.5 hours is not enough time to safely drive from wilkes-barr to NYC. Too many variables. Poor logistic planning. This guy should have been given at least 6 hours for cushion going into that kind of territory.

Accidents, drug test, will follow as proof, as in police report, drug test report, If you have gotting a false positive, you can always ask for a 2nd test, to prove innocents

If the company fired you due to the first false positive, it's already going to be on your DAC before you take the 2nd test. And the 2nd test won't cancel out the first either. The first will just remain on your DAC as a false positive.

On a run to Toms River, NJ I encountered an officer detouring traffic due to an accident. He was sending everyone through a residential neighborhood and it was a tight right turn. I pulled into the intersection as far as I could before starting my turn. Well, the officer assumed I was going straight and ignoring his direction. He ran over and started pounding both his fists on my fender and screaming. I leaned out the window and advised him trucks were going to need to swing wide here. I could see the "light" click on in his mind when he realized what I was saying and what he had just done. He just said "well, go on then" and he walked away. Was pretty funny...
