Good luck to all of you starting with Roehl. I am sure I will run across all of you somewhere... Be safe in whatever you do.

If you get to Gary much you might bump into me, but I dont hang out in the lounge often. Who knows you may have bumped into me already.

Every Flatbedder gets through Gary for one reason or another... Or is that every Roehl driver gets through Gary? A little confused at how many times I've been there in my short time.

I honestly think every driver goes to gary...usually because thats where all the relay loads are...and its the only shop on the way through most of the routing lol

I'm Midwest regional and I live 130 miles east of Gary so I'm usually in Gary 2-3 times a week.

Going back to a truck will be an adjustment for sure. But, it's a skill I once had and hope I still do. Hope I didn't forget too much. It's more of need to than want to. I just can't live on what the bus pays, although I loved the job. Going for my physical later today.

I totally understand the whole loving it thing but not being able to make an honest living. As I am prepairing to leave the hardest thing I am going to have to do is tell the kids that I am leaving. All of them mean so much to me.
I am excited to be moving on, the money will be a great change. I have always wanted to drive a truck. so like I said earlier I will be getting to do something that I have always dreamed of.

I wish you the best. Kids are home is a tough thing, but you gotta be able to feed 'em. My kids are grown now, so I am hoping re-entering the trucking lifestyle will be easier now. Well, except now I got grandkids I won't see much. Good luck to you.
