Will do harleybob...finished our 1st day of orientation at Conways Joplin headquarters. The wife and I are very impressed with everything so far. Very organized and professional place. We lost one recruit 1st thing this morning...tatoos above the shoulders (neck, head) and big loop holes in the ears. They are pretty strict on appearance. They have moved us now to Neosho for 1 week of boot camp. I will update this week when I can...

Glad to hear it is going well! :) Were you looking at tractors in the parking lot at the Joplin terminal with a man in a button down light red shirt? If so, I believe I saw you looking at our tires when you were there!! Haha, anyway, let us know how everything is, Crowder is fun! Good luck!

Don't believe that was me Conwaygirl...thanks ECU51...not quite aboard yet but getting there. Have to finish getting through Crowder Boot Camp and then the pressure is off. We started the obstacle course today...that was interesting. Tomorrow morn is our 3am night ride. Irene is really not a morning person so I will need plenty of coffee to get her through it...lol Stay tuned!

Does everyone go to crowder or do these off hour road tests or is it just a rookie thing? The "obstacle course" sounds like fun!!!

If you are pre-hired by Conway TL and come to Joplin you will have to go to boot camp for 5 days and pass in order to move on with your finisher at Conway. Once you are paired with your finisher you will run 7500 miles with him and then come back to Joplin where you will be road tested by Conway...all goes well your in. Not sure if Conway has any other regions they do it in. Hope this helps...

Not sure what you mean by pre hire but I'm assuming it has something to do with your status...rookie as opposed to an experienced driver maybe? Not sure after 3 million miles I need anything finished!!)) (except for maybe this trucking career?)
I'll have to add that to questions to ask when I call back there tomorrow!
    Thanks!!!

A lot of companies from what I have found in my very short career consider you pre-hired...until you pass all the background checks, driving test, and so on...once all the hurdles are out of the way only then you are considered hired. 3 million miles...not sure about that...your finisher may not have that many...LOL

The guy I'm thinking of teaming with is calling today to ask his own questions, his school is trying to push him towards Werner of all places, not sure why but... Told him he was more then welcome to go there but I would NOT be putting in an app, I told him he would understand one day... they pay lower wages, charge more for bennie's, have a horible reputation...whether deserved or not is not for me to say since I have never worked there or researched them since I have no plan of working there... I guess the saga will continue for a little longer!
    Stay safe!!!
