I got caught in Semour, In. Scale house. Got a false log and speeding ticket. Got a lawyer working on speeding ticket. What happens now? Do I get audited? How long does this stay on record, CSA, etc. ? Will there be any type of fine, for the false log? I couldn't find a parking spot soni kept driving. I figured my time wrong and left before I had 10 hrs in. Got speeding ticket for 84.2 in a 65.![]()

So they based the speeding on your logged miles?
Sounds like it is time to lawyer up!
If you just pay the fines it will go on your record. -
Lawyer up completely and let them handle it all.
-
The speeding ticket is really serious. Anything over 15 over is bad news.

I'm all for getting a lawyer, then use the internet to go to the CSA website it's something like http://csa.fmcsa.dot.gov/default.aspx you might want to educate yourself.

Sounds more like you falsified log to show a 10 hours break but created a speed issue on the log.
Your not going to beat both of them even with a lawyer. -
This is probably true, however you will probably getting the speeding reduced at the very least. you weren't observed speeding, you just can't do math and you lie on your logs.

I think,
maybe ...your BBQ is burning !!!!!

The log violation will cost you less in the long run. Log violation points are figured different than other inspection issues.
It's complicated, but here goes:
Add up every inspection you've had for the last three years in the following manner: in the past 12 months, one counts as three; 12-24 months, one counts as two; and 24-36, one is one.
Write the resulting number down.
Now, take the points for your log violation and multiply it by three, since it is within the last 12 months. Divide this number by the one you wrote down above.
The result will be the number of CSA points assigned to this violation.
This equation only works with log violations. It does not hold true for other issues, which carry the points listed in the table. Get rid of that speeding ticket if at all possible. That's the one that will hurt you.RAGE 18 Thanks this. -
I think a lawyer could get rid of the speeding charge,
I had one for 84 in a 55 and the lawyer made it go away!
I was caught passing a line of slow trucks before the 4 lane ran out and a Trooper was just over the hill and nailed me good....In Ohio too...
No record of it period.......Money talks..
