There's a flying J/ Wilco/ Loves in Rock hill, SC people can stay at for a Charlotte delivery. The Loves there expanded their parking lot. There is also a Wilco and Independent in Salisbury if your coming from 85north. Ya pretty much have to plan on staying 30min to an hour from Charlotte. Also QT (Quik Trip) is starting to build around Charlotte. The plan is, once 485 is finished they want to restrict trucks like Atlanta does, so I don't think you'll see any new truck stops inside the 485 boundries

the city of charlotte would not allow a big truck stop, that would make them look bad :biggrin_25517:. As if being ranked for what the 2nd or 3rd worst gang problem in the US? doesnt make them look bad enough

yeah I hate that pilot, was stayed there one time... definetly had a bad vibe there... but more than that what i don't like is the parking lot... I try to avoid Pilots whenever I can but do have to go for fuel a lot of the time...

anyway seems like pilot lots are the smallest and are just beggin for an accident... while most Petro and TAs have much bigger lots that you can get in and out of from 2 directions etc...

but about this particular pilot, I came through the entrance and after passing fuel islands.. there was one spot to my right towards the end of lot at exit... well there is literally no way to setup for that spot. so i had to go out into the street back up and cut hard and come over the curb like a monster truck to get a halfway decent chance at getting in... well I get in.. then 5 mins later a couple trucks come rolling through the exit to setup to park on the same side... i thought to myself they must have been here before
