I am living in Ohio currently and, after checking their website, I couldn't find an answer as to whether Millis runs West or if they just keep me in a 'comfort zone'.

I would like to run West when I do get my CDL. Anyone know for sure?

We see them running n/s on I-35 in Texas, but I that's probably about as far west as they run for the most part. Don't think I've ever seen one in KS or NE.

We stay mainly east of the Mississippi and run Texas also. There is one run a month or so to California as far as I am aware.

    tross2000 Thanks this.

Yeah Tross, sorry if I sounded cutsey with my answer, sometimes I can't resist, spend a lot of time here. I've heard Millis only occassionally runs west (of I-35). They concentrate on the eastern 2/3rds of the country.

Call them and ask them. This way you will know for sure.

What time is it in "comfort zone"?

With Millis you will be running the midwest, east and southeast 80% of the time.

I fail to understand drivers who only want to run west, especially in a 66 MPH slowmobile with elogs. The speed limit is 55 in CA and OR and 60 in WA. I can do that in Ohio, I don't need to cross mountain passes to get to 55MPH speed limits.

Running west is out of Millis's comfort zone, so you run the risk laying over more out there vs steady loads and backhauls out of their normal running area.

Have a cousin who drove for Millis, he says he liked them, but he is now driving for Kennan.
