there was dozens of lions tigers and bears,a wolf roaming around, would you step out with a dart gun into that? a dart takes time to put something that big down.jack hanna even agreed that was what they needed to do,he said his friend years ago was killed when he darted a lion and the lion attacked him before passing out.

Hey guys, i have question and was hoping someone could offer their opinion. I just recently got my CDL license a few weeks and spoke to Ally from the recruiter hotline. My problem is that at my school i didn't get much practice with a 10 speed (less than an hour of practice D: , mostly 6 speeds at that school) and Ally told me i'd have to take a road test (soon or immediately) upon arriving. I'm not very confident about taking the test with a 10 and I'd rather not fail and get sent home. What should i do?

    Thanks

run the 6 speed like you always do, depends or not were you go , in town you be fine with 6 speed, otherwise its just a few more gears, once in truck memorize the shift pattern and go by the speedometer what i do.

Ally advised that i should apply once i get some experience with the 10 speed (kinda hard to do if no one will take a 23 year old right outta trucking school >_<; ), should I apply anyways? Sorry for bugging

    Thanks

Get as many prehires from as many companies as you can. The first job is critical. You might have the luxury of being picky.

I'm really set going to Prime for my first (been reading the forums for the last few months and Prime seems like a pretty good place to start) and maybe ... Conway as a secondary

I've never driven a 6spd, but have a 5 n a 10. The 10 isn't hard at all. 5 low gears, splitter up, 5 more gears. Ignore 1st n 2nd. I never used neither on my test. Start from third, rev up, shift up n over to 4th, then down to 5th, splinter up, all the way back to the far left n down. After you do that its just normal shifting. Don't forget to put your hand back on the wheel in-between shifts.... n double clutch.(yes I still remember how to do that, kind of lol)

    orphen and GSWx Thank this.

After orientation, you'll be going out with a trainer anyway right? So whats the problem? After 30k or 40k miles, whatever it is now, you'll have the shifting figured out...
