I dunno. What were you thinking? I would be thinking, "Wow, fire sure is hot when you stand in the middle of it."
I was a cop and remember exactly what I was thinking when I quit, "Wow, being a cop sucks...and there are a number of people that want to kill cops." I don't miss it. -

I had several different jobs but this is the one I love the most. This isnt for everyone and there are lots of people with CDL's working jobs other than trucking that will prove that. Also, getting a cdl doesnt gaurantee you a job. Read lots on this website so you can see some of the good, bad and ugly before you decide to spend the money. Watch out for all recruiters and sales people from truck driving schools, they always paint a rosey picture that will never match what really goes on out here so beware.

I have been an addictions counsellor, youth "correctional" worker, environmental technician (Hazardous Waste and Materials), First Responder for Chemical Incidents, Sheet Metal worker, retail sales.....My job as an Env. Tech involved driving truck and so that was my introduction to commercial driving. The economy tanked....got laid off....found some training dollars and got my ACZ license (ON Canada)....and now I drive for a living. Loving it so far.
