And how likely is it to get put in a Pro-Star Auto shift as a new employee w/ cheeseman???
-
I would give it between 50% to 70% chance. Most of the fleet is prostars. There are alot of drivers that perfer not to take a Prostar because they would rather shift a 10 speed via a Mack or Volvo. I have had 2 Prostars in the past and gave them both back and grabbed a Mack then a Volvo. I would rather shift myself in the winter. However the prostar with the Cummins engine and the automatic is awesome on hills.

Thanks, i enjoyed driving the pro-star. I had one with averitt and loved it as long as i don't go up north too much in the snow.
-
I was apprehensive about this too at first, but last winter was pretty brutal and I didn't have any problems with the automatic, and that includes driving through the Chicago blizzard and running 10mph the entire length of route 49 on ice headed to the Fort. I like my Prostar because it's roomy and nice to drive, but it's broken down quite a few times.
