I've been to several C&S locations throughout the northeast and just about every place takes several hours to unload; they routinely ignore appt times, the locations are cluster f*!#s and trashy looking, and they could give two-##### about a driver and his/her time.

The only exception to what I said above is the Suffield, CT location. It was very clean, organized and I was in-and-out in less than 1.5 hours. Also, the people there were very courteous and I wasn't charged a lumper fee b/c the freight was pre-paid and lumper fee was part of that; all my C&S loads were pre-paid but Suffield location was the only one that really honored that.

The one in Bethlehem, PA is using at least 30 of our trailers for storage (All of them still loaded and sealed)

Trying to find an empty for a D&H is an absolute pain.......

C&S is the main reason I hate dry-van/reefer hauling. I'd much rather spend an afternoon tarping a load in a Texas summer then go to one of those places.

C&S Windsor isn't too bad ,but the one in chester ny is a real cloister . I hate leaving my truck to go inside to see the lumper . I find many people have trouble backing into spaces . If I see someone having a time getting in I always get out to help even if they say no . Generally they always say thank you in the end . There is nothing to be ashamed of getting help . There was a man at a certain receiver one day with a 300''wb peterbilt 379 who I asked if he needed help , he was the proud type and said no , after I witnessed him backing into the wharehouses new Great dane reefer I went and helped him . He was thankful . Also recievers can be ball breakers too , they know a guy can't fit in certain spots and stick it to him to break his beans. I really have to laugh at some of these pencil pushers . If only they could ride with us for one day , I believe their perspective of most truck drivers would change! Just my 2 cents .

C&S in north east and Jessup md. Wouldn't break my heart if that whole state fell into the ocean.

I don't have any trouble with them, but I'm on the dry box side and mostly just drop and hook. I don't often go to any aside from Newburgh NY and Bethlehem PA. Very occasionally to Aberdeen MD and Chester NY.

I didn't get much flak from them when I hauled reefer either, though. It really has a lot to do with whether or not you're a regular and what you're bringing.
