I have really never thought about doing my MPG until I was reading on this forum about people trying to get over 7mpg.
Well the last 3 fill ups I have been writing down all my stats.
224L - 267, 505 km - 10/15/11
248L - 268, 026km - 10/21/11
61L - 268, 127km - 10/22/11
So I'm getting about 1.17 MPG.....fuuuuuuuu
This kind of sucks![]()
Highway guys are lucky!

You have to be running some kind of PTO right. Or doing job site work something
-
I don't worry much about fuel mileage....just revenue generated vs. cost of operation. As long as I'm comfortably in the black, I'm happy. Doing site work or short hauls (less than 10 miles, turn all day) you won't get as many miles per gallon, but the rate per mile will be awesome. Doing longer runs, the mpg improves, but the rate per mile plummets.
Whatever pays the bills...Tazz Thanks this. -

bonder, you might get lucky one of these days!

Your calculations are wrong .. throw out the first 224 liters, as that was the first known "top-off point". According to my calculations you went 622 km (386 miles) on 309 liters (81.6 gallons) ... 4.73 MPG
Otherwise , you need to know where your hub reading was at when you began the burning of the 224 liters that you apparently added into your original calculation -
Ekk... totally forgot about that first fill up.
I'm just doing city work, stop, go, stop, go, stop, go...... Maybe next fill up I will see if it is any better. -
naw he was a at acity dock, bumped the idle up too 1300 and went too sleep for 7 hours , hence 4 mpg.
SHC Thanks this.
