It's in the works. Celadon has been buying out companies the past decade. This will be one more aquisition when the dust settles. It's just a corporate move to get their foot in the door. Now the negotiations begin. You'll see a complete merger by the end of the year.

As employee changes when it happens? I doubt there will be many. The USA ceo's will just have someone above them. They might get rid of some sour apples. One might say they are a bottom feeder and possibly are. From the business end, they are aggressive and good at what they do.

The next 10 years I think you'll see alot more buyouts. Only the strong will survive. The same thing happened in the cell phone business to where it is now.

 

I just listened to it..it sure sounds like desperation on USA truck.

Needing to hire almost 1000more drivers net by spring in order for their plan to work.

Just called the number myself. Sounds like a man who knows his company is toast and is making a "valiant" stand.

I agree with you drvrtech..I think USA truck is going to be history in six months, maybe sooner.

 

There are too many "mega" haulers out there all chasing the same nickel.

Something has to give sooner or later.

 

Whenever a large corp buys another large corp it all goes to crap for several years until they figure out whos head is up whos butt. With these two companies it will take longer because it just one big gonga chain of head - butt - head - butt - head - butt - head - butt......
