Work well is not that bad. I have a student now that is at least 350lbs and did fine. He is not touch big either. But a good driver thou.

the port in savannah is already deeping the river to accomadate the deep draft ships. also south carolina is starting to clear land on their side of the river to get their new port up and going which will mean twice the hauling out of our area . from wnat i understand about the ultra low sulfer fuel it does not apply to the ships since they are world wide carriers. from what we have been hearing the drayage is supposed to increase by 15% next year. now the mexican port may increase due to the fact that the west coast ports have no room to expand they are out of space tobuild on . but on the east coast we have plenty of room to expand. and are currently doing it in savannah ga.

Well, I am now one of those lurker, former Central drivers, but don't get too lurk too much thanks to the dumb battery in my phone. Anyway, first few weeks with Mercer were rough since our truck caught fire on 9/7. Paid 100% by the insurance, but not the downtime. Just had to replace the clutch. We are rolling from west coast back to Columbus quite a bit. Just like when we were Dole, just different stuff to haul and much nicer home. My cousin-in-law starts training in WVC on Monday. It only took me about nine months of discussing before he made the decision. Too bad I won't get the referral bonus. Anyway, Central was a great start for us, and I think most would agree with that statement. I will now return to lurking and checking in every now and again.
Lady K Thanks this.
